Christmas 2013

And back to the catch-up game.  Christmas at our house was fun, however we were all just getting over the nasty stomach flu.  Justin actually missed Christmas Eve mass because he was still sick.

Speaking of Christmas Eve mass, Jax was obsessed at the time with singing the banana fana fo fana song.  So after mass was over and everyone was filing out of the church he starts singing this song to everything he sees--for example, church, church bo burch, banana fana fo furch, me my mo murch, church!  And............then he sings it to truck!  Let me get you started, truck truck bo buck, banana fana fo fu%#.  Yah.  Good thing he's cute.  Especially with the kids all dressed up in the special Christmas clothes that Mammie Sharon and Pappy Ron sent.

Cookies for Santa....Jax thought Santa would want two star cookies, just like him.

Tirty-tree

Hop-scotch forward to the present time....today's my birthday.
And looking back over this last year, I have to summarize that it was wonderful.  Many things happened, good things, bad things, and there was a lot of just "the daily grind", but all-in-all it was a good year.  Probably the greatest thing in this past year was the addition of this girl into our lives.
I cannot help but feel our little family is now complete.  I'm very proud to be their Momma.

Justin & I spent the evening in Genoa, NV to celebrate me turning "tirty-tree"
Here's to many more...

Holiday traditions, Decmber 2013

Each year I send all my Godchildren a handmade Christmas ornament, however I failed to take a picture of them this year before I shipped them, doh!  But here's our kids opening the ornaments Uncle Rob & Aunt Melissa sent.  Also Jax and I used the new magnetic Advent calendar this year.  Each door has a small magnetic piece of the nativity scene.

Here's the majority of the handmade dish clothes I make for my Mom and Aunts each year for Christmas.  The picture of the kids with the lights is something I saw on Pinterest and just had to try!

And the ever-fun Carson City Santa train.  A fun afternoon with our friends, a historic V&T train, Santa, candy canes, and lunch at Red's Old 395.

Happenings, late November/early December 2013

Evie gets her first 2 teeth, at the same time!

And then she promptly starts eating on her own, while Jax gets into the tub of lotion.

 Evie gets musical.

We get our first big snowfall so Jax gets to bust out his sweet snowsuit from Mammie Sharon & Pappy Ron
And Justin and I get a date.....always with a poorly lit picture.  And we were home by 10pm b/c we were exhausted.
