Christmas in Las Vegas
Per tradition at the Huntington house, Justin and I got "stockings" from Santa
Then we went to Trevor's house. Left=Haily, Sharon, Destiny & Kelcie, Right=Kelcie & Nan Evelyn
Then we went back home to open up the rest of our gifts--including Willy. Ron will soon be sandblasting this rock with those stencils. How sweet!?!
And finally we went over to Aunt Linda and Uncle Al's house for dinner and holiday cheer. Above picture=Uncle Scott, Ron, Justin & Pappa Jack
Uncle Scott, is a musician and sang for us. Awesome!
And they live on

Home for the Holidays
Just a different home this year. Justin, Willy and I drove to Las Vegas yesterday to spend Christmas with the Huntington family. This is the first time in my 27 years that I will not be spending Christmas in Butler, PA. My lower lip starts to quiver when I think too much about it, but I'm excited to spend this joyous time with my new family.
It was snowy in Carson City, but just gray in Las Vegas. I like the cold and snow, it makes it feel like the holidays. Sorry, Rob, but 75 degrees and 80% humidity just doesn't scream Christmas trees and sticky buns to me.
I took Willy and Justin's parent's dog, Shadow, to the dog park this afternoon by myself. Although I had to pick up no less than 4 individual poopies, I enjoyed the cold air and the view of the snowy Spring Mountains...and then my holiday imagination let loose and I imagined The Grinch perched up on the top of one of those mountain peaks staring down with his less than average-sized heart. What can I say, I'm a sucker for classic holiday shows.
To all of the Cypher's gathering at Aunt Pam and Uncle Bob's house tonight, have a great time! I miss you all!

Huntington Honeymoon
Famous in Heaven
My first day on the slopes was pretty good. Well, the morning was awesome getting my bearings back but after lunch not so much. Many falls and tears. I will get better. Just as soon as the bruises on my butt heal.

Herwiggy
Our good friend Mark has a ski and snowboard making business. Herwiggy. I just found out Herwiggy has a blogsite, and Justin was in a recent post. I've added the blog link to my list.

Bring on the holidays!
Just like Mom and I used to do back home, the day after thanksgiving was partly used to decorate the house for the upcoming Christmas holiday. I don't have near as many decorations, or a tree taller than 4 ft, but it gives our little house enough holiday cheer. It was a beautiful weekend, sunny and near 60 degrees. Justin worked like CRAZY all during the long weekend in the backyard....and just wait until you see all that he did. I'll save that for the next post when I have adequate pictures. Oh, please don't mind my messy table, but wanted to show the garland I strung up over the back door.
For the first time ever I went shopping on Black Friday. Not until 10am though....that's if you don't count me setting the alarm for 6:48am to place an on-line Mary Kay order. I got 30% of Mary Kay, that never happens! But anyway, I did not shop for gifts while I was around town but for the pieces to my advent wreath. I've been using the same old one for years and I had a more retro one in mind, based off one my parents have. I'm really happy with it. Check it out!
