Mini Beach Vacation--San Diego

We recently took a mini-March beach vacation to Encinitas, CA (just north of San Diego).  Justin worked all week in Denver, so Jax the seasoned airport traveler and I met him in San Diego on Friday morning.  Jax did great, loved wearing his own backpack with his monkey, and was very content to sit in the middle seat (refused the window seat) and eat pretzels, peanuts, and apple juice.  He didn't want to sit in his stroller at the airport, he had to walk like a big boy with his backpack.

Although the weather got better each day we were there and we had a great time seeing our friends, Marc, Lindsay and their kids Lucas and Ava, Jax and I got more and more sick each day. We were both on the miserable side by the time we headed back to the airport. This is what Jax looked like the first morning back at home by 9:30am watching Bob the Builder. 

Poor guy, we are both currently on antibiotics and improving each day.

Train table

In anticipation of moving Jax out of his current room and into what was the spare bedroom (so baby sister can have his crib), he received his very own train table for his new room.  He was very excited, but doesn't seem to play with it quite as much as I'd thought.  He prefers if one of us plays with him, but that's cool too!  Now we just need to get him a big boy bed...
