Hanging out

Justin and his Dad went on a Father's Day weekend Harley trip, so Jax and I got have some quality hang-out time.
We colored............
We went to a Reno Aces baseball game with some friends where I found that Jax REALLY likes popcorn.  Good thing it was a bottomless tub!
We made supper together....
And when Da-De and Grandpa came home, we hung out with them.

Jax's 2nd haircut

A place called "snip-its" was recommended to me for kid's haircuts.  Since Jax's 1st haircut didn't go so smoothly, I thought I'd give it a try since "snip-its" is a kids-only place.  I have to say, this place was cute!  Lots of colors, large cartoon characters, special small chairs, TVs for cartoon watching, little cushy chairs for the Mommas, after hair-cut prizes and very calm employees.  Jax still pitched a fit when trying to get him to sit down in the chair, but after we have him a lollipop--it was all over.  Once taste of his very first lollipop and he let that stylist do whatever she wanted.  Lol!  It's a little more expensive, but I think it was well worth it!

First Family Camping Trip

Recently we went on our first family camping trip to Grover's Hot Spring campground outside of Markleeville, CA...a safe 40 mins from home.  We had a gang of friends with us between being outside and having other kids running around, Jax thoroughly enjoyed himself.

King's Canyon hike

A few weekends ago we hiked up to the King's Canyon waterfall in the canyon behind our house with friend Jason and his two kiddos, Quinn & Mara.  It was a great little hike!  Definitely not as much water a last year though...

Hobart Reservoir

Last weekend Jax decided he didn't want to take a nap, so we put Libby into 4-wheel drive and crawled our way to to Hobart Reservoir located up Ash Canyon behind out house in the Sierra Nevada Range.  This is a small reservoir capturing streams before they can flow into Washoe Valley, and then used for drinking water in Carson City.  The last 0.5 miles has to be hiked, which was nice.  The views from up there are spectacular!  You can see all of Carson City, and parts of Washoe Valley and Carson Valley.

Cotton!

See this fluffy stuff hanging from the trees......

Now see it on the ground.........

I'm so sick of cotton all through my house!
