Memory Lane

It's that time of year when I get caught up on all my stock-piled scanning in preparations of constructing the previous year's family scrapbook. Here's a few random old pictures I ended up with of over the last year.

My cousin, Manon, and I in our Bulter High Sequinette uniforms.  My junior year of high school, Manon was my "big sister".  Growing up with family is a blessing.
September 1997.  This is me and all my first cousins on the Green side of the family (minus my brother, who was away in Arizona in college).  I used to feel so much older than them, but it doesn't seem so much different now.
And these are from a road trip I took with my Grandma Green, Aunt Kathy and Great Uncle Len (all of whom are now deceased) to South Dakota to visit Aunt Patty, Uncle Randy and cousin John.  Crazy to think John just got married last summer.

Baby Girl Bird Bump @ 24 weeks

I look all crazy in this pic, I know, but it's the best one I've got. I'm starting to feel pregnant now...

Daddy's Office

Last weekend we were in Reno and Justin had to stop by his office to pick up a few things.  Jax liked Daddy's office just fine and still talks about the "giant windows".  :o)

Green Family in Nevada

My entire immediate family came to Carson City to visit for a week!  It was amazing having them all here, it really lifts the heart and fills the house!  My brother Rob and his family skied as much as they could spending days at Heavenly, Kirkwood and Homewood.  We had a family day at Heavenly where Jax showed off his snowboarding skills and went sledding with Mimi (see video and notice Jax took his monkey on the sled ride too!).  Saturday we all went for a hike at Grover's Hot Springs State Park and got a great family photo.  It was very sad to see them all go and makes our house seem very quiet.  Poor Jax was sick the entire time they were here, which made him pretty darn fussy, but he's still talking about Pappy Denny, "and Mimi too", Uncle Rob, Melissa, Luke and Joel.

Love all of you!

Happy Valentine's Day!

These are Jax's Valentines he took to school today to hand out to his friends.  The pouches are organic applesauce with cinnamon.  Jax helped put the stickers on and liked the "eye balls".

Mt. Rose snowboarding & sledding

We spent the early part of Super Bowl Sunday on the bunny slopes of Mt. Rose Ski Resort.  This was Jax's third day on his snowboard and he really had a break-through day.  He loved being strapped onto the board, riding the magic carpet up the hill and having Daddy pull him fast down the hill.  He ever started jumping!  We also made progress such that he would, at times, allow me to let go of one of his hands.  Very good day!

History in a blanket

Earlier this year I read a post on Aunt Linda's blog about how she took a bunch of her daughter, Amy's, t-shirts from all her volleyball teams and made them into a blanket.  I thought that was such a great idea!  What a way to preserve all those memories associated with the shirts, but not have to keep them piled up in the closet!  I asked Aunt Linda if she would consider constructing a blanket for me consisting of all my high school and college dance team shirts and she did not disappoint!  To fill out the entire blanket, I was able to also include many Northland College, Northland soccer, Allegheny National Forest intern, Junior Miss and general shirts that I have which remind me fondly my younger years and all that I did.  Now they are all stiched together into one fabulous blanket!  And this is a nice heavy blanket too!

Thank you, so very much, Aunt Linda!!  I love my blanket!!
