Papa Toby 1923-2010

This past weekend we took a rode trip to Trail, OR with Justin's parents to attend Papa Toby's memorial service. Papa Toby was Justin's grandfather (Mom's father).

Left--Sharon and her 2 sisters, Tobi Lee and Kathy

Below are a few pictures of this service and the ice cream social that followed. Papa Toby was, as I learned, an ice cream fanatic! All the old pictures are those from the large memory board that I zoomed in on.

Baby Huntington

Justin and I are rearranging our plans to welcome a new baby to the family on November 1st, 2010!
Today was our first doctor's appointment and a sneak peek at our 1.84cm long baby!

Spring Blossoms

The last few days have been warm, very spring-like. And my bulbs thought so too!

Now if I could just get some new leaves on that little tree...

Blue-Bird

Finally a blue-bird day on the slopes!
Sometimes I can't believe we live here.

Hoover Dam

This past week we were in Las Vegas for the annual Nevada Water Resources Association conference held at the Golden Nugget. The Nugget was a lot nicer than I expected and the conference was good, as always. Justin was "the man" giving 2 presentations, moderating a session and being in charge of the student poster competition. The director of NRCS's National Water and Climate Center introduced him as "the brightest young scientist he's ever met"!

I also gave a talk that went quite well. Justin's parents and NanEvylen came to hear him speak for one talk and Sharon was able to hear me speak. They were quite proud of us, and NanEvylen was just beaming!

Pictures are from our tour of Hoover Dam before the technical sessions started.
