Birthday in Carmel
Justin and I spent a long weekend in Carmel, CA for my birthday. We intended to take the Harely again, but woke up to snow on the ground the morning of our departure. Brr.
We had a great time. It was really nice to get away recreationally for a change.
So nice to hear the ocean from our hotel window too!

Water science, not medical science
I recently ordered 75 feet of c-flex tubing for use in a peristaltic pump at work. Each box had this sticker on it informing me that the intended use of this tubing was "not for human implantation".
Ewwwwwwie!!
They don't have to worry about that.
Seriously.

Good family fun
Sorry for my hiatus from blogging, I'll try and catch up a bit.
Here's the last of our trip to Oregon for Papa Toby's memorial service. The last night there Justin, myself, Ron, Aunt Kathy & cousin Jessica piled in the car with the intention of going to the rodeo. We ended up go-cart racing because the rodeo was sold out. Fun. Check it out!

Easter preparations
Mom & Dad sent me an Easter basket box this week. It was great, but the biggest smile came from the famous smiley-face cookies from the restaurant Eat 'n Park. But of course this time of year, they are bunny smiles. In high school the girls on the Sequinette Team would buy their big/little sisters these smiley cookies as good luck gifts before a Friday night football game performance.
And of course--the big kid that I am--I had to color Easter eggs today. Justin just couldn't help himself after I got it all set up, so he helped too.

Crater Lake National Park
While in Oregon, we took a relatively short trip up through the Rogue River National Forest with Justin's Aunt Kathy and cousin Jessica.
Our trip took us to Crater Lake National Park. What an awesome place! Although we weren't there for long, as it was cold and under about 10-15ft of snow, it was still breath-taking.
