Like Father, Like Son

Dress up!

Every day Jax and I get up, we nurse and then he gets cleaned up for the day. Each time I put his outfit on for the day I can't help but take a picture...he's so cute!! For the most part he is out of the preemie cloths and into the newborn clothes. A few things are still big on him, but I do believe Jax is starting to gain a little weight! woohoo!

Bouncing vs. Swinging

Jax loves his bouncer--the swing, not so much. Maybe in time...

To be as big as Dad

One comment everyone has been making about Jax is how big his hands and feet are. I think he takes after his Dad on this one...he's just got some growing to do to catch up!

Milk coma

1st police encounter

Getting outside for a little fresh air has been really nice this last week or so. We like to meet up with Sarah & Miss Logan for a short stroller ride (cause Mamma is still only going short distances).

A few days ago on our return trip, the kids had their first run-in with the cops. Oops. Mamma's fault. Pedestrians walking on the wrong side of the road & not on the sidewalk. The sidewalks are so narrow, bumpy and sloping with people's driveways...............very rough stroller ride. And as for the wrong side of the road--our bad.

Oh well, lesson learned...Sorry kids!

Getting to know Jax

The cutest little guy ever! And yes, he can scream and cry....
The nights are getting more bearable as we each get to know how the other one works.

Gracious help

Grandma & Grandpa Huntington were such a big help while here in town. Our house was torn apart with contractors and very messy when we dashed off to the hospital, but they had it all sparkley clean and organized when we came home. Many projects were accomplished while they were in town too. Everything from hanging rain gutters, laundry, hooking up instant hot water taps, moving pantry doors, organizing baby stuff--and the list goes on. Our good friends Sarah and Mark also helped out a ton--hooking up faucets in the bathroom, setting up the pack 'n play & getting the spare bedroom ready to roll. Thanks so much to all the help we received during the 1st week of Jax being home!!

Jax @ home

Jax (and Justin and I) have been getting used to life at home.

So far we've been treating him for a bit of jaundice with some sunning sessions and are starting to believe Jax is nocturnal.

Jax Green Huntington

I know everyone has been waiting for the pictures.

Let me introduce you to my son...

Jax Green Huntington

Born 10/5/10 at 11:27am

4 lb. 14 oz.

17.5 inches long

Little more than 3.5 weeks early

I worked all day on Monday and felt great. After work I ran around town doing some errands and started feeling a little uncomfortable. I told Justin I think I might be having some contractions--but I thought this was just a warm-up. So we went to Lowe's and then out to Thai for dinner. (I regretted that later!) By 9:30pm I knew I was having contractions and started timing them. By 8:00am we were putting our bags in the car and heading to the hospital.
